THE COADY GROUP was founded by Francis Coady in 2001. Having graduated with a Master of Arts majoring in Communication Management in 2000 from UTS Sydney (graduate thesis: “Ethics in the Music & Entertainment Industry”) it was time to put the thesis to work!

Over the last eight years Francis Coady and his team have developed and supported numerous musicians, film makers and creative types with one objective in mind. “To assist creative people reach their full potential!”

Under the guidance of legendary producer Harry Vanda, Francis Coady went onto to manage the careers of seminal indie roots act Papa Lips and then independently signed rock group Thirsty Merc to a worldwide deal with WEA/Atlantic. Thirsty Merc went on to sell over 300,000 units and toured and showcased across NZ, UK and the US.

The Coady Group also began the annual Bondi Short Film Festival in 2000 which has fostered the careers of some of Australia’s finest film makers and has established itself as one of the premier film festivals in the country.

The Coady Group’s core business areas focus on Artist Management, Talent Agency representation, Entertainment Consultation and Special Events. In 2008 The Coady Group invested into newly formed indie label Grand Pacific Records and Publishing with a view to signing the most cutting edge talent across the globe. The first signing to Grand Pacific is uber indie act The Protectors from Newcastle, Australia.

Hi,

It's been ten years since I first started the Bondi Short Film Festival, and in that time we have watched more than 3000 short films from across Australia.

Over the years the quality of the films have been incredible and we expect nothing less in our tenth Birthday year.

So if you, or anyone you know has made a wonderful short film that deserves to be screened in front of a discerning audience in November at the 10th Annual Bondi Short Film Festival, then please send it in now.

For entry form details click here: http://www.bondishortfilmfestival.com/?page_id=20

You can also check out our brand new website www.bondishortfilmfestival.com  for more event and prize details.

Thanks so much for supporting independent film and we look forward to seeing you at the festival in 2010.
